48 Go Green 2012

In addition to the spring competition, there will be two other opportunities to compete this year. That means two more chances at 2012's prizes!

It all starts with our Kick-Off Event for Group A on Friday March 9, at 7 PM local time in each country. This will be repeated later on in the year when Group B will have a Kick-Off on June 29, and Group C on September 28.

In each event, you will receive an email with your Eco Theme, or assignment, as well as any required elements for the film. The last digit of your team’s registration number will correspond to a randomly generated list of Eco Themes.

Get connected to the Festival’s official website and come to the Kick-off Event, which will be held for Group A on March 9, 2012, at 7 PM your city’s local time. After the announcement of the theme and required elements, the race begins. For the next 48 hours, you will be in control of your own production. As you and others race to create something memorable, the planet will be transformed into a world-wide movie set!

The 48 Go Green competition ends with the Drop-Off Event. The festival’s organizing committee provides you with an extra 30 minutes to upload your film.

In addition to the spring competition, there will be two other opportunities to compete this year. That means two more chances at 2012's prizes!

Anyone on your team can upload your film. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, March 11th at 7:30 PM (19:30) your registered city local time. By the deadline, you must have completed the upload of a low quality version (not more than 9MB) of your film. There will be a specific button on you profile page in order to upload the films marked: Upload your 48 Go Green 2012 Film.

After uploading a file, wait for its conversion and check that it is presented properly on your profile page under “My Films.” On the Upload page, there will be two categories to select between the option to upload the low quality version and the high quality version. Select the appropriate one at each upload you will make. You will have an additional 4 and a half hours (until 12:00 PM) to upload a higher quality version. Of course, you may upload the best version before 7:30 PM too, if you have the time.

We also ask that you email the low quality version (no more than 9MB) to us at officialentries@48gogreen.com. This is a fail-safe measure for your protection, so it must be received before the deadline to count. Incomplete uploads or uploads of the low quality version in progress at 7:30 PM your local time are not eligible for prizes.

NOTE: Your two versions must have identical content. 48 Go Green will be verifying that any film submitted after 7:30 PM is identical to one submitted on time.

Two days after the Drop-Off deadline, all the films eligible for the Grand Prize will be displayed, and the public will have a limited time to vote online for its favorite film.
